ISL 2024-25: Semifinals fixtures and venues for knockouts decided

Elimination from the playoffs has now seen two teams of the Indian super league, that is NorthEast United FC and Mumbai City FC, to the semi-final stage of the season 2024-25. The remaining four teams will play for the ISL title, beginning on April 2-having home-and-away matches.

The two knockouts now see Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC into the ISL playoffs, facing FC Goa and Mohun Bagan super giant in the playoffs. The Blues ended a dominant 5-0 rout of Mumbai City FC, while the Red Miners shocked ISL fans by handing NorthEast United FC a 0-2 defeat.

Now that the most anticipated games come closer, let's analyze how the four teams are going to prepare themselves for their encounters in the semifinals.

They have set their eyes on a second ISL title

The head coach of Bengaluru FC, Gerard Zaragoza, would be over the moon with the performance of his charges after their recent fantastic exhibition in thumping Mumbai City FC 5-0. The Chennai Super Kings were really clinical in their attack, rolling five past the Islanders, who could not contain the potent Guns blindside. That floating victory creates a wave of momentum for Zaragoza's troop.

The next big one for the Spaniard is a two-legged semi-final against second-placed FC Goa, which, too, has posed problems for Bengaluru this season. In the two previous meetings, Goa has a win and a draw against Bengaluru while scoring five goals and conceding only two. The first leg of the semi-final on April 2 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium will be a real trial for Bengaluru's title ambitions since they would be colliding against the Gaurs here.

Jamshedpur FC is hell-bent on taking down Mohun Bagan's Super Giant team

Jamshedpur FC has been in good form in the ongoing '2024-25 ISL' season. It went on into its last knockout clash with NorthEast United FC and secured victory in the tie 2-0. Coach Khalid Jamil, with such a tremendous high security exit, anyways must be hopeful concerning their title prospects.

Now on the agenda is deflecting visits from a last former club: Jamshedpur FC will be visited by Mohun Bagan Super Giant at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. In two meetings in this season, the Red Miners have drawn once and lost once to the Mariners, having scored only one goal and conceded four. The ISL Shield winners have had a dominant run and have now amassed one of the highest points totals in league history.

With prestigious ISL title at stake, all the four teams are sure to put their best foot forward in the forthcoming semi-finals.
